My Approach
We are all human; our inner workings are similar and protective. What is different is our external pressures, relationships, and outlook that shape us. Stress can manifest in many ways throughout our bodies; it can be seen as crying, tensing, craving, changes in breathing and lower energy. Recognizing changes in our bodies is observable, however, detecting changes in our psyche can go unnoticed. These psychological changes can present as sadness, loneliness, hurt, or thoughts of defeat and fear.
In therapy, I will provide you with a holistic and compassionate space to dive into your emotions safely. Encompassing a strengths-based orientation, we will explore your resources and build tools for you to effectively navigate life’s unpredictable challenges.
My background as a personal trainer and long-distance runner has provided me with a unique and personal understanding of perseverance and discomfort. Sometimes, being with our emotions and thoughts can be uncomfortable. I am here to help you find clarity, acceptance, and growth past the chaos or suffering. No matter what stage you are at in your journey, I work from a person-centred and trauma-informed approach to meet you where you are at. My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and empowering to help individuals achieve well-being. I have a special interest in working with anxiety, self-confidence, depression, life transitions, loneliness, and body image.
If you would like to see if we are a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to get to know one another further. It is great that you are here and I hope to meet you soon.
