Our Approach

At Flexible Minds we offer a uniquely holistic, integrative and mind-body approach to wellness. We are rooted in trauma-informed and embodied practices. Our goal is to help you find balance and flexibility not just physically but mentally too! We believe there is no singular approach to wellbeing, which is why we love to get creative when it comes to finding what works best for you. The majority of our services are offered virtually from the comfort of your own home providing flexibility and ease.

Modalities

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you notice patterns between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, especially the ones that keep you stuck or spiralling. Together, we work on practical tools to shift unhelpful thinking and build coping strategies that feel realistic for your day-to-day life.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT focuses on helping you make room for difficult thoughts and emotions rather than fighting them. We work toward building a life guided by your values, so you can move forward with more flexibility, meaning, and self-compassion.

Yoga Integration

Yoga integration weaves mindful movement, breathwork, and body awareness into the therapeutic process when appropriate. It offers a way to reconnect with your body, release stored tension, and support emotional healing beyond words alone.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

DBT supports you in learning skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier boundaries. It’s especially helpful when emotions feel intense or overwhelming, offering ways to stay mindful and grounded while still honouring what you feel.

Somatic & Polyvagal Theory

This approach recognizes that stress and trauma live not just in the mind, but in the body and nervous system. We gently work with physical sensations, breath, and awareness to support regulation, safety, and a deeper sense of calm from the inside out.

Solution-Focused Therapy

Solution-focused therapy centres on what’s already working and where you want to go, rather than staying rooted in the problem. Sessions are collaborative and forward-looking, helping you identify strengths, small shifts, and practical next steps.
