My Approach

Do you find yourself overwhelmed by outside stress and demands or internal struggles that make daily life difficult for you? Life can be challenging and unpredictable at times, however you can learn to not only cope, but thrive, in the face of these difficulties. Through therapy, we can work together to discover skills and strategies that will allow you to tackle those difficulties in a healthy way and start to live the life you desire.

I’m Katey and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association working towards the completion of my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.  I am passionate about supporting individuals through their struggles and into enjoyable lives. I whole-heartedly believe that you are the expert of your life and view my role as your therapist as being a collaborator, cheerleader, advocator, coach, and pillar of unconditional support. Through modalities such as acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy, I take a strength-based, solution-focused, and trauma-informed approach to help you achieve your goals.

I primarily support individuals dealing with external situations and internal thoughts and feelings that are overwhelming their ability to live their life and reach their life goals. I focus mainly on concerns of stress, anxiety, depression, anger, and ADHD.

Feel free to reach out for a free, 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. Once you make the choice to begin therapy, I would be honoured to meet you where you are at and support you through your journey to your most fulfilling life.
